The Tail of the Old Wives’ Tale
The New-Paradigm for Online Marketing Success
A recent Wall Street Journal Blog Post entitled, “LinkedIn’s Overused Resume Words,” kindled a fire that sparked an earlier Stalker Marketing Pad blog post, “MLM Home Based Business Online Marketing Guide.” There, as here, I question whether the profusion of “new and better” market based product launches actually benefit the online marketing community — “Traffic Voodoo”, “Social Media Marketing Machine”, “Link Liberation”, to name a few of the most recent.
It’s doubtful whether any one, or for that matter, any combination, despite assertions to the contrary, fully pave the highway (much less, a fully automated highway) to online marketing success. To think otherwise, in my view, most likely paves a road to nowhere.
The WSJ Blog Post commented on a recent LinkedIn survey that suggested, based on a profile analysis of millions of U.S. users, that new-vogue resume and profile expressions, such as: innovative, dynamic, proven track record, results-oriented, fast-paced, problem solver, and others, were over-used, and more often than not, used in a meaningless vacuum. And, consequently, caused more harm than good.
Comments to the article were telling:
“… [T]oo many academics who try to impress me with their language skills. Just be yourself, do a good job at whatever you are doing and let your references speak for you. … [T]he more they try to impress me with meaningless babble the quicker I trash their brag sheet and hire the hungry lighting rod who shows me they are willing to do what it takes for all of us to succeed.”
“I can’t tell you how many Ivy League educated people I know that follow the trendy use of words such as the ‘new-paradigm’ or ‘conundrum’. Every job I have been employed with was because I knew someone. Networking is the best tool.”
As indicated above, experience provided an early answer, but wondered, nonetheless, whether the generational divide between the older, simplified use of meaningful words vs. a new technobabble commonly used by many people today presented a conundrum for the Stalker Marketing Pad.
That is, in light of a changing, uncharted tide, does the “Stalker Marketing Pad Attraction Marketing Blueprint” drown in the clutches of such monster marketing programs as Traffic Voodoo, Social Media Marketing Machine, Link Liberation, and others. Without commenting on substance, the titles and promotions are so new-vogue, innovative, dynamic, etc. Are meaningful marketing structures like the Stalker Marketing Pad Attraction Marketing Blueprint washed away in the current?
The answer may lie in the changing, uncharted tidal waves of the online marketplace. Biting sharks can always be identified and hunted down. They’re constantly found schooling for food around the unsuspecting quick-$$$$ search. Be prepared, fish only with a hook dipped in due diligence, and stay mindful that the so-called new online marketing paradigm most always sinks under the lead weight of an old wives’ tale.
It’s ironic how descriptors meant to set a marketing program apart from the crowd only serve to show their conformity. Cling to the marketing strategies and techniques engineered in the calculus of Albert Einstein … ” Keep it as simple as possible, but no simpler.” Like the strategies and techniques found in the Stalker Marketing Pad Attraction Marketing Blueprint for Success:
Traffic -> Blog ->MLSP ->Sale
Detailed here -> Stalker Internet Marketing Guide.
Fact is, and sadly, people are continually “giving up” on internet marketing, or worse, moving into the next biggest “quick money product” they see hyped online. Internet marketing is a constant work in process, and for the process to work, a concentrated investment of time and energy to the process is required.
Anything in life worth achieving requires a commitment. Marketing online is no different. Despite the hype heard from many so-called online marketing gurus, marketing success requires more than the push of the secret button they say is hidden inside the caverns of their product.
Ahhh, but alas, I’m repeating myself. See -> MLM Home Based Business Online Marketing Guide. Wrap your arms around the simplified process, the blueprint, outlined above. Hug it, and with focus upon it, success is but an attraction away.
